Today we are in Wilkes Barre at Wilkes U learning about podcasting. Steve Zalot was our presenter today. His website is a great place to find more info about podcasting. We went through many great ideas for podcasts in classes, and came away with some really good ideas to take back with us.
We used itunes to look at podcasts in all areas and found some great podcasts. I suggest teachers in all content areas visit the itunes store through itunes. There are some great podcasts in all content areas. Social Studies students can view virtual tours of famous cities, there are tons of Foreign Language podcasts, there are some great English podcasts, such as the Grammar Girls.
The next step for us is to get our selves moving forward with Audacity and our MP3 Converters so we can start making students podcasts available to the students and parents at Mountain View. Another great place to learn about podcasting is learning hand.
Also check ou Itunes U for some great educational pod and vodcasts, there are even lesson plans and how to use technology videos.
